    About the Collection

    About the Wall Light Collection

Wall lights occupy an important place in the history of period interiors, providing intimate, low-level illumination that complements the central chandelier. Our collection includes Louis XV and Louis XVI ormolu appliques, English Regency cut-glass sconces, Empire and Restauration bronze examples, and later Edwardian and Belle Époque pieces.

We give particular consideration to symmetry and provenance, offering matched pairs and larger sets wherever possible — important for the proportion and balance of a panelled room, hallway or staircase.

Each wall light is cleaned, repaired where necessary, and rewired to current safety standards using sympathetic, period-appropriate flex. Original gilding, patination and back-plates are preserved wherever possible.
