French Ormolu Chandelier with Coloured Glass Drops, c. 1900
£800
A decorative six-light French ormolu chandelier dating from the early 20th century. The scrolling frame is dressed with an assortment of good-quality French glass, including plaque drops, pear drops, teardrops, drumsticks, octagonal buttons and diamond-shaped drops. Predominantly clear, the glass is interspersed with mauve and purple accents. Six lights sit around the frame on metal candle pans and nozzles. The chandelier has undergone a complete restoration in our workshop and has been cleaned, professionally rewired and fully tested. Ready to hang, its proportions make it well suited to a small room or hallway.
