Workshop Cleaning
Often preferable for:

The chandelier is carefully removed, transported to our workshop, cleaned and restored, then returned and reinstalled.

Chandelier Cleaning: Prices & Common Questions
How much does chandelier cleaning cost?
Our usual cleaning rates are based on the time required and the number of people needed:

If an access tower is required, hire is charged separately and typically costs between £150 and £250, depending on the size needed.
We assess each enquiry individually, taking into account the chandeliers, their condition, access arrangements and travel.
How long does chandelier cleaning take?
The time required varies according to the number and size of the chandeliers, the intricacy of the glasswork and how much dust or dirt has accumulated.
Whether the hanging glass can be removed and cleaned separately also affects the time involved. Access arrangements and travel are taken into account when planning the visit.
Photographs help us assess the work and give you an indication of the time required.
Can my chandelier be cleaned without taking it down?
Most chandeliers can be cleaned in situ, without removing the fitting from the ceiling.
Where appropriate, we carefully remove the hanging glass and wash it separately at a sink. We then clean the frame before reattaching the glass.
If necessary, we can take the chandelier down, clean it at our workshop and return it for reinstallation. This can be particularly useful while building or decorating work is taking place.
What photographs and information should I send?
Please send:
- An overall photograph of each chandelier.
- A photograph taken from underneath.
- Close-up photographs of the glass and any particularly dirty or damaged areas.
- Photographs showing the surrounding space and any access difficulties, such as a stairwell or high ceiling.
- Your location and the approximate size of each chandelier.
These details help us assess the cleaning and access requirements before arranging a visit.
Can you arrange regular chandelier cleaning?
Yes. We generally recommend annual cleaning, although the appropriate interval depends on the chandelier and its surroundings.
For clients who would like a regular service, we can contact you after approximately a year to ask whether you would like to arrange another clean.
