This is an extremely fine and elegant early-Victorian tent and tier chandelier, dating from the early 19th century.
There are 7 metal arms leading to petal-shaped glass pans that are adorned with cut Albert drops and round buttons. The tent section is dressed with strings of antique rectangular connection pieces, the tier section with three rings of triangulars and the fourth (outer) ring with plain Alberts.
Decorative glass finials and rosettes adorn both the brass top canopy and central frame, and a large cut-glass bubble hangs from the very bottom.
The chandelier has been fully restored - re-pinned glasswork, rewired and cleaned - in our workshop, and is ready for hanging. It would very much suit high-ceilinged rooms.
