This is a stunningly elegant early-Victorian tent and tier chandelier, dating from the early 19th century.
There are 8 metal arms, leading to metal nozzles and pans that are adorned with glass drops and beads. The tent section is dressed with strings of antique rectangular connection pieces and octagonal buttons; the tier section with five rings of triangulars and the sixth (outer) ring with pear drops.
The top canopy has swags of round and rectangular buttons that finish in a pear drop. There is a large cut-glass bubble hanging from the very bottom.
The chandelier has been fully restored - re-pinned glasswork, rewired and cleaned - in our workshop, and is ready for hanging. It would very much suit high-ceilinged rooms.
