We recently completed a two-day project at a private residence on The Bishops Avenue, London, carefully taking down and packing an extensive collection of chandeliers and wall lights ahead of the client's house move.
The Piece
The collection comprised approximately 15 chandeliers and 10 wall lights, ranging from smaller decorative fittings to a particularly impressive 40-light glass chandelier.

Approach
With a collection of this size, careful organisation is just as important as the removal itself. Working as a two-man team over two days, each fitting was methodically dismantled where necessary, with individual components kept together and carefully packed to protect them during the move. The largest chandelier required particular care due to both its size and the number of glass components. It was progressively dismantled and lowered, allowing the glass and frame components to be safely handled and packed at floor level.
Outcome
The wall lights were also carefully removed and packed, with their associated components kept together ready for transportation and future reinstallation. Our approach is to ensure that chandeliers, glass components and fittings are removed methodically and securely packed so that they are ready for their next home.
