We work with interior designers, architects, property professionals and private clients, providing specialist support for antique and period lighting within residential, historic and other significant interiors.
From the careful cleaning of an existing chandelier to restoration, repair, rewiring or the sourcing of antique lighting for a new scheme, every piece is assessed individually and treated with respect for its original materials, construction and character.
We can work on site where appropriate or undertake more involved work at our workshop.
Antique lighting often requires specialist knowledge of historic construction, materials and fittings. We can assist design professionals at different stages of a project, from assessing an existing fitting through to restoration, electrification and final installation.

View Antique LightingWe understand that work within an interior design or architectural project often needs to coordinate with other trades and a wider programme of works.
G & P Cohn can provide specialist input specifically relating to antique chandeliers and period lighting. Existing fittings can be assessed individually and appropriate work discussed before proceeding.
Where restoration is required, components can be carefully dismantled and catalogued before work is undertaken. Our approach is sympathetic rather than unnecessarily replacing or refinishing original material.
For particularly large, fragile or complicated fittings, we can advise on the most appropriate approach following photographs, dimensions and information about the property.

G & P Cohn was established in 1954 and is now a third-generation family business.
Over more than 70 years we have worked on chandeliers and period lighting for private residences, historic houses, churches and institutions.
