A small chandelier of icicle form was brought into our workshop for full restoration. Every element was addressed, from the frame and drops to the internal wiring.
The Piece
A small chandelier dressed throughout with cut crystal icicle drops on a metal frame with arms and candle cups.
Work Carried Out
- Disassembly of the chandelier within the workshop
- Cleaning and consolidation of the metal frame and arms
- Hand cleaning of every icicle drop
- Replacement of any drops missing or damaged beyond use
- Complete renewal of internal wiring to current standards
- Reassembly with each drop returned to its original position
- Full electrical testing and certification
Approach
The chandelier was restored in the workshop, with each component recorded and replaced in its original sequence. No original element was altered to accommodate the work.
